What is Future & Options Trading?
Future & Options or F&O in short are Derivative market Products, in easy words they are future contracts on underlying assets. Now Underlying assets can be Shares, Stocks, Commodities, Contracts or Crypto currencies. Basically you can trade in future dates with these contracts.
F&O trading is used for speculation as well as for hedging purposes. Most big investors use it to protect their portfolio when markets become unstable and volatile, and they generally hedge their cash market positions from F&O market contracts.
With F&O hedging strategies they protect their long term portfolio and also make money in the short term.
